Students entering Grade 10, 11, and 12 are eligible to take up to 10 credits (only 1 core course)
Prerequisites
If you register for a summer school class but do not meet the prerequisites, you will be withdrawn from the class with no notice. The $30 program fee is non-refundable.
Course Changes/Transfers
- When a student wishes to change levels within a subject area (20-1 to 20-2), or to transfer courses (Math 20-1 to Bio 20), those changes are contingent on space.
- All transfers are initiated by the student and should be communicated directly to the Principal.
- Transfers need to be completed before 2:00pm on July 4th, 2025.
Attendance/Online Engagement
Non-attendance/engagement does not constitute a withdrawal. A final mark will not appear on transcripts of students who withdraw on or before July 11th.
Cancellations
Red Deer Catholic Online School reserves the right to cancel any class. All efforts will be made to accommodate the student. If RDCOS cancels a class, a full refund will be issued. Refunds take up to four weeks for processing through Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools Financial Services.
Course Load
A student can take a maximum of 10 credits in Summer School. One 5-credit core course only can be taken.
Accommodations
If you require special provisions regarding inclusive learning accommodations, please contact the Principal. The only accomodations that can be implemented in Summer School are:
